As of today I have completed 4 semesters at Penn State. In those 4 semesters I have completed 60 credits. Add to that the 28 transfer credits I could use, and I am at 88 credits. After this summer I’ll be at 101. After fall ‘23 it will be 117. From there I have a few loose ends in Spring ‘24 and I will be done.

There is a lot of work between then and now, but for the first time, it seems like there might be some light at the end of the tunnel. I feel like the end of 2023 will be here before I know it, and the prospect of just having to complete a few more classes will be amazing.

One thing that I’ve been extremely lucky with is the demands on my time. I have still been able to balance working with the family and getting school work done. One thing I am still in disbelief about is that I’ve managed to get onto the Dean’s list in every semester. I hope to maintain that through to the end.

I continue to hope that things can stay where they are for at least another year, that’s all I need to get through this phase of my life.
